To host a short-term rental in Elk Grove, you must obtain a special business license which is valid for three years. You cannot rent out individual rooms to separate groups at the same time, and any stay must be for at least two nights. Properties created through certain lot splits (SB9) are strictly prohibited from being used as short-term rentals.
