Lee Summit

Short-term rentals in Lee's Summit are permitted only within the Old Town Master Development Plan area or on parcels larger than one acre, requiring a business license and on-site or adjacent residency by the owner or a representative.

To host a short-term rental, your property must either be in the Old Town area or on at least one acre of land. You or a local manager must live on the property or next door, and you are limited to renting out a maximum of two rooms to no more than four unrelated guests. A city business license and compliance with safety codes are required.
