Lewisburg requires all short-term rentals to obtain a zoning permit and an annual or biennial license based on owner-occupancy status.

To operate an STR in Lewisburg, you must apply for a license through the Central Keystone COG and undergo a safety inspection. Non-owner-occupied rentals must renew their license every year, while owner-occupied rentals only need to renew every two years. You are also required to carry at least $300,000 in liability insurance and collect both state and county hotel taxes.
